MONTE CARLO OR BUST

Inspired by our Corporate Quickfire event a whole new selection of challenges for the teams to complete in the time available, only this time they will be earning casino chips to gamble on the roulette tables.

The activity will begin with teams completing as many of the mental, creative and physical challenges out of the booklet as possible to earn casino chips for the team, after a short time we will open up a selection of roulette tables around the room. Half the team will then have the option to go and gamble their hard earned chips on the tables to maximise the team’s earnings, whilst the other half the team continuing to complete challenges as the clock ticks down to zero.

As soon as time runs out the chips are added up and the winning team is announced and the champagne is awarded.

ROTORHEADS

Trust, delegation, planning and synchronisation are some of the key traits required in running a successful modern business. ROTORHEADS is an engaging team building event that highlights these attributes.

The core objective is for teams to put together an impressive and unique air show through a display of sound flying skills and airmanship using indoor-safe remote-controlled helicopters.

Before this can take place however, teams must appoint roles, prepare a fully
synchronised air display sequence, book flight line slots and undergo flight training at the RC Helicopter ‘flight school’. This involves simulated flying before taking off from a designated helipad (under our event team’s supervision) and then training around various obstacles.

All roles appointed within each team will come together to ultimately showcase their product at an exhilarating air show.

STRICTLY COME DINING

The group will be split in teams with each team cooking a 2 or 3 course meal for the opposing team, an experienced expert chef will demonstrate knife handling skills health and safety and a demonstration which will be relevant to their category. Each team will be responsible for all aspects of their dishes and tables; this will have to include table setting and serving their hungry colleagues.

Judging, each team gives an overall score of the dishes, giving feedback via a spokesperson on the table, and then the winner from each category goes before our judges to give the final verdict, the criteria the chefs will be looking for are creativity, team work and taste.

ONE HIT WONDER

Fame and fortune and just a couple of minutes away as your group are given the opportunity to write, produce and perform in their very own music video. Wigs, air guitars and microphones will be at the ready and along with some questionable lip synching teams will have everything they need to make sure their song tops the charts.

Teams will be given video cameras, MP3 players, creative lighting, makeup and costumes to make the all-important video to accompany the smash hit song, but meticulous planning is required as your group will have to produce a detailed storyboard to accompany the fantastic video.

CANAPE CONTRACT

Making your own canapés will always impress your guests, the attention to detail and the time taken to make them will always make them feel special.

The event begins with an introduction from the chef followed by menu planning and time management, the corner stone of effective canapé making, this will be followed by a demonstration and a practical session in which all the guests will make their own range of luxury canapés to include, blinis and bases, roulards, skewered canapés, tomato shots and risotto balls.

To conclude our chef will show the guests how to present the canapés using mirrors, granites and slates then demonstrate a variety of simple garnishes that will give the real wow factor, guests can then enjoy the canapés as a light meal option or take them home to enjoy later. We can run this as a class or with a competitive edge making canapés for judging.

GREAT BRITISH BAKEOFF

Men and women all over the country have been inspired to reach for the oven gloves, roll up their sleeves and use their loaf with the latest TV programme the great British bake off.  We have all the equipment and expertise to inspire budding bakers to have a go anywhere in the UK.

You and your team will work with a professional pastry chef to make a variety of traditional and contemporary afternoon tea and bakery items, we will bring along cookery books and even some recipes used at some exclusive hotels such as the Chewton Glen and the Dorchester London.

After a short introduction and demonstration the chef will give the teams a challenge to make a variety of bakery and pastry items, teams then go head to head to make, bake, and ice, a variety of bakery items while the clock is ticking, penalties will be given for undercooked cake. Our chef will judge each category such as technical, star bake and showstopper awarding points for creativity, skill and taste.

CHOCOLATIERS APPRENTICE

As you can expect this is our most popular cookery challenge, we will have your teams literally up to their elbows in this hands on chocolate challenge, each team will not only have to make and brand a box from the raw materials but also complete a manufacturing order of over 100 chocolates per team (based on a team of 8) so there is plenty to take home.

Groups nominate a project manager; this will be followed by a fun and interactive demonstration on chocolate making to include chocolate tempering, ganache making, dipping and finishing. The Chocolate Challenge, teams decide on a daring and diverse concept to break into the chocolate market. The project manager allocates specific tasks to each delegate such as manufacturing branding, box design and marketing, delegates are given the freedom to choose measure and weigh their own ingredients. Each team will be expected to pipe shape, temper, and dip and package a whopping 100 chocolates in order to complete the challenge laid down by our judges (all delegates make chocolates to take home).

Teams present their chocolates and centre piece ready to go into the board room. Spokespersons give presentations and must persuade the judge why their teams are quite simply the best.

Points are awarded for creativity, taste, concept, presentation of chocolates and the sales pitch.

BRAND AID

Advertising features in the lives of everyone, we cant get away from it, we fall for it, we loathe it, we love it, we laugh with it, we laugh at it. It is impossible to avoid the fact that a clever, smart advert can persuade us and influence us to part with cash for products or services.

Brand Aid gives participants an opportunity to enter that multi-million world of advertising. Where extraordinary budgets can be used to visit exotic locations, and the glamorous are there to entice us.

Well, not that exotic, and maybe the budgets are not that large, but the people are there, to create and deliver something powerful media masterpiece with limited time and resources. Your delegates.

Delegates are spit into agencies; each agency is given the same brief and set of objectives at the start of the challenge.

Agencies have then to develop a strategy, storyboard and a script before moving into production, and meeting the deadline. Techniques from the subtle to the blatant can all be employed.
