CHOCOLATIERS APPRENTICE

As you can expect this is our most popular cookery challenge, we will have your teams literally up to their elbows in this hands on chocolate challenge, each team will not only have to make and brand a box from the raw materials but also complete a manufacturing order of over 100 chocolates per team (based on a team of 8) so there is plenty to take home.

Groups nominate a project manager; this will be followed by a fun and interactive demonstration on chocolate making to include chocolate tempering, ganache making, dipping and finishing. The Chocolate Challenge, teams decide on a daring and diverse concept to break into the chocolate market. The project manager allocates specific tasks to each delegate such as manufacturing branding, box design and marketing, delegates are given the freedom to choose measure and weigh their own ingredients. Each team will be expected to pipe shape, temper, and dip and package a whopping 100 chocolates in order to complete the challenge laid down by our judges (all delegates make chocolates to take home).

Teams present their chocolates and centre piece ready to go into the board room. Spokespersons give presentations and must persuade the judge why their teams are quite simply the best.

Points are awarded for creativity, taste, concept, presentation of chocolates and the sales pitch.

BRAND AID

Advertising features in the lives of everyone, we cant get away from it, we fall for it, we loathe it, we love it, we laugh with it, we laugh at it. It is impossible to avoid the fact that a clever, smart advert can persuade us and influence us to part with cash for products or services.

Brand Aid gives participants an opportunity to enter that multi-million world of advertising. Where extraordinary budgets can be used to visit exotic locations, and the glamorous are there to entice us.

Well, not that exotic, and maybe the budgets are not that large, but the people are there, to create and deliver something powerful media masterpiece with limited time and resources. Your delegates.

Delegates are spit into agencies; each agency is given the same brief and set of objectives at the start of the challenge.

Agencies have then to develop a strategy, storyboard and a script before moving into production, and meeting the deadline. Techniques from the subtle to the blatant can all be employed.

TAKE FLIGHT

The TAKE”FLIGHT event is a one of a kind, highly interactive and competitive aviation themed challenge set to engage guests in a variety of time critical tasks.

The ability for teams to communicate effectively, attention to detail, flexibility, trust and strategic planning are a few of the attributes that will prove invaluable in winning the overall challenge

Tasks will include mental, physical and fun segments; however teams will ultimately decide Individual suitability to each activity by relying on different strengths within the group.

A scoring system of ‘Skypoints’ is used and awarded to teams in relation to their achievement during each task. Scores will be calculated and discussed by the adjudication team and the winners announced at the end of the overall challenge.

BEAT THE CLOCK

Beat the Clock is an exhilarating event based on a recognized extreme sport challenge. It is designed to engage participants in a contest of intense energy and collective determination. Delegates compete not only as individuals, but also in teams to establish the fastest hands at your event.

The event will begin with our facilitator giving a brief explanation and history of this particular extreme sport. The facilitator will provide tips for successful runs and then divide delegates into teams.

The teams are directed to preparation areas where they’ll have the opportunity to warm up on rubber practice pads before stepping up to a specially designed machine which will accurately count how many drum strokes are achieved in a in 60 seconds. Individual heats will at this time determine which delegates are running the fastest times under the close supervision of our facilitators.

Once all  heats have been completed, teams will have a few minutes to plan their team strategy for the final event. Team members stand in lines running parallel to each other as they await their turn in an action-packed finale. This will see participants having to make swift decisions on the placement of their strongest team members as the clock starts ticking to achieve the highest possible score when time runs out. At this point the chasing scores will be projected onto large screens (dependant on the size of the venue) and delegates are encouraged to vocally support their colleagues in what becomes a thunderous, adrenalin-fuelled finale.

BEAT THE CLOCK is by no means a musical event. It will reinforce to all participants the value of collaboration and seeking each other’s strengths to benefit their entire team.

BE PART OF THE ART

Everyone knows it is important to step back and look at the ‘big picture’ every now and then, particularly when looking at the organisation and how it’s people operate and communicate internally. With ‘Be Part Of The Art’ the importance of team work, co-operation and communication is reinforced through the process of painting an artistic masterpiece of truly epic proportions.
At the start of the exercise the delegates are divided into small teams responsible for painting one or several individual canvases – each small part of the bigger picture artwork. Armed with brushes, paint, very little information and, importantly, no idea what the image will be, the teams have to work with each other to ensure lines meet and colours match.

Delegates soon realise that to be successful, they have to co-operate with the other teams rather than compete. In short, they have to take a ‘big picture’ view to ensure that each canvas fits perfectly and the final result is a success. The artwork image can be inspired by a company’s brand, conference theme, products, values, goals or, alternatively, it can be a large scale reproduction of a famous work of art.

Once complete, the canvases from all the teams are collected, framed together and covered. The highlight of Be Part Of The Art is the final reveal where, following a debrief, the masterpiece is unveiled to the delegates for the first time with inevitable loud cheers and thundering applause. The completed masterpiece can be displayed back in the office as a lasting reminder of the importance of teamwork.

CORPORATE QUICKFIRE

Corporate Quickfire is a thrilling teambuilding activity that builds from a whisper to a scream, energizing, engaging and empowering delegates to take control of their team’s destiny, at the same time creating a room full of positive energy, urgency and team spirit. A powerful atmosphere, against the backdrop of a running down clock.

Each team will be given a challenge book at the start of the event containing up to 100 different tasks. These will be split into Creative, Mental and Physical. Each category is then split into Mini, Midi and Maxi. Mini tasks require one team member to complete, Midi require 2-4 and Maxi tasks will require the whole team. More points are awarded for Midi and Maxi tasks so the more of these a team completes the higher the score.

Teams need to plan and strategize how they will out-perform, out-think and out-smart opposing teams, whilst attempting their opportunities to maximize the potential for winning points. The winning team will be that with the most points, simple as that.

ITS A WRAP

Trailers for films are part of the cinema going experience for all those sitting in the dark, trying desperately not to finish their bucket of popcorn before the film starts, or trying to nacho chips silently.

It’s A Wrap! gives participants an opportunity to enter that multi-million pound world of the movies. Where extraordinary budgets can be used to visit exotic locations, and the glamorous are there to entice us.

This event is an indoor or outdoor event. Filming can take place in various locations making the most of your chosen venue. Delegates are split into studios; each studio is given the same brief and set objectives at the start of the challenge.

An award-winning trailer for a big budget movie needs to be created and delivered for screening at the end of the session. Studios have then to develop a strategy, storyboard and script before moving into production and meeting the deadline. Techniques from the subtle to the blatant can all be employed. Equipped with cameras, music, a small number of props, make up and ideas it’s time for action!

This challenge encourages participants to work closely, use their creativity along with strategic planning and project management’s skills to make the project a success.
